I'm sitting at 195 lbs these days but only a hair under 5'10" for hight . That usually sits me at the top end of the medium size and middle of the large size . I was coming from the large Nirvana before this that I paddled from spring 2019 till fall 2222
. I also had the medium 2017/2018 and even paddled it down the Stikine fully loaded in 2017 . I would say the large Gnar paddles slightly bigger than the large Nirvana. I feel a tad bit on the light side for it and moved the seat a bit forward to keep the bow driving a bit more . I'm kinda curious about how the medium size would be for me or if I would find the tail too small . I recently took the large Gnarvana on the Stikine full of overnight gear and it felt pretty good with some extra weight . In big water the only drawback is humongous amount of tail rocker kinda drops it in the back seat quite a bit while jet fairying ( up stream facing ferry ) and sometimes hard to get the momentum after getting stalled out in boils . That being said when charging things straight on nothing much slows it down . I
Would think a 210 - 230 lb 6 ft or taller guy would really love this size and feel pretty invincible in it .

This boat is everything Jackson says it is. Boofs like crazy! Great stability for those surprise holes and eddy lines but paddles with the agility of a half slice. There is definitely a learning curve to paddling it but once you get there you’ll never look back!
